Last week I started my first week as a full time grad
student at Kent State.
I quit my job as an IT Nerd for a large law firm to go to
school full time for my MLIS degree.
There were multiple schools that offer degrees, but Kent seemed to offer
the best Library courses. Kent also
offers library specialties such as Museum librarianship, Specialties Librarianship and much much more!
I am so glad I ended up at Kent! The first 2 classes the recommend you take
really help familiarize you with all of the resources available at Kent to make
your academic career stellar. The
teachers (so far) are quick to respond to questions and really seem to be
interested in making the classes the best possible for everyone.
My 1 credit course asked me to watch this video:
So great right? Who
would have thought learning could be fun?
This blog will be about my Kent State experience along with all the ups
and downs of being a poor college student again at age 31. Quitting my job and going to school full time
has been the scariest and also most joyful thing I've ever done and I’m looking
forward to enjoying every moment of it!
